Bluefin tunas are the largest of the tuna family, and they are extremely fast swimmers. Tunas are top of the food chain predators of the waters, and they have an important biological role in the oceans, keeping the balance of the environment. Unfortunately, they are also a highly prized catch for the restaurant industry, (think of the the bluefin tuna sushi and sashimi delicacies). As a result, the Atlantic bluefin tuna is now considered an endangered species.

This artwork is meant as a decorative, beautiful visual home decor, but also as an artistic reminder to continue to push our boundaries against the ignorance and indifference that destroys our planet. If each of us enriched ourselves with more information about vulnerable species, it would empower us to take action and help Mother Earth.
