This highly valued sea creature is on the critically endangered list and is a protected species. I painted this beautiful turtle in the hope that my artwork will raise awareness and create a compassionate outlook on the issue of protecting our invaluable wildlife. I am aiming to translate the scientific facts about the threatened species and their loss of habitat, through visualized human emotions and by giving points of reflection into the beauty and preciousness of nature.
