Artist's Description
his cute dodo-looking bird is called the Tooth-billed Pigeon (Didunculus strigirostris) and it only lives in Samoa. It is critically endangered and it has been shown to be genetically close to the Dodo bird (which is extinct, also due to human intervention); for this reason, it is called "the little Dodo".
This guy has been loosing its numbers and territory due to... deforestation, invasive species like rats, cats, dogs and other Old World uninvited guests. This artwork is created so that we can become aware of each little thing that we can do to change the world around us for the better and prevent more damage to a vulnerable planet.
