The whale shark is a very large, spectacular fish (the largest fish in existence), that thrives in the warm, tropical waters. Despite being a shark, it is quite gentle and docile. It feeds on plankton and small fish, by opening its large mouth and filtering everything in its path. Its unique pattern on its body creates a striking visual effect. It is listed as an endangered animal, due to pollution, overfishing and vessel strikes.
By creating this artwork, I'm aiming to bring more awareness to protecting our vulnerable environment and saving our biodiversity.
